The following will be a brief description of the courses offered. Our intention is to teach anyone from the beginning student to the most advanced tactical user of a handgun. Our courses incorporate safe handling, speed and accuracy. Everyone will have the opportunity to advance and succeed at his or her own level. There will be specific qualifying factors that will be considered to advance from course to course.

RESERVATIONS ARE REQUIRED FOR ALL COURSES

All courses will be provided at a certified range developed specifically for this particular type of training. You will be taught by certified instructors that have had a multitude of training in this field. Please take the time to review these courses and we look forward to your interest in our services.

BASIC HANDGUN TRAINING

This course introduces the participant to basic handgun principles. We will spend time with familiarizing you with your particular handgun. The course offers safe firearms handling along with the necessary skills to properly handle your firearm with skill and confidence. There will be a brief introduction into the "FISTFIRE" System created by World Class Shooter and Champion DR Middlebrooks.  We presently use this system and highly recommend it as an alternative to the Intermediate Level.  It is a system that is being used by some of the best shooters in the world today.  The success of the system speaks for itself.  Our basic course will teach proper stance and grip along with sight alignment, sight picture and trigger control. The course will advance to “tactical shooting” using close range targeting skills as well as multiple target scenarios. There will be an approximate 2 hour familiarization lecture that will include discussing types of handguns as well as proper safety procedures associated with each type of firearm. We will also include in the discussion the legal requirements of owning a handgun as well as deploying a handgun in a defensive scenario. We will also discuss legal issues associated with NYS Penal Law section article 35, use of deadly physical force

We will use a multitude of initial training that we use with Special Response Teams as well as Swat Teams to improve necessary shooting skills. These skills will be, but are not limited to, reloading techniques such as “speed” and “Admin.” Reloads, shooting with “strong” and “weak” hand, “Turns”, “Standing Star”, target transition and CQB techniques.
